A first generation dairy farm couple, Jonathan and Jessica Gaskins of Adair County have been named finalists in Kentucky Farm Bureau’s Outstanding Young Farm Family contest. Jonathan says they started with about 30 head in ’07 with good milk prices, but then came troubled economic times in ’08. But, they’ve weathered that storm and continue to build and innovate on their family farm dairy.
