“Feed-the-hungry” agencies are asking Ky tax payers, due a refund, to check page 2, line 37 of their 2013 return this tax season. Contributions can be made to the Ky Ag Department’s “ Farm to Food Banks Trust Fund” to help feed the hungry. Tarmara Sandberg, Executive Director of the Ky Food Banks Association, discusses that program and a new state tax credit available to farmers who donate edible commodities.
