The Harlan County Farm Bureau was recently honored for its efforts in educating local youngsters to recognize the environmental and economic value of good woodland management. The group’s president, Don Miniard, says the county’s 6th graders responded very well to in-school presentations and a forest field day where in 2015 over 200 are expected to participate.
