Posted on Jun 30, 2014Kentucky’s 2014 annual payment from the Master Tobacco Settlement Agreement of 1998 was withheld last fall as the larger participating companies objected to the carrying out of the process by which smaller independent companies were also contributing to MSA payments. Ky Attorney General, Jack Conway, explains the situation and how his office was able to negotiate a settlement to restore those payments.
