Direct meat sales are turning out to be an expanding income opportunity for farmers here. KCARD’s Brent Lackey says initial farmer efforts have sprung up at farmers’ market venues, but more and more farmers are exploring wholesale marketing. KCARD will host a local meat sales workshop next Monday in Fayette County.
