Farm Bill safety net payments have already been made to Kentucky farmers as a result of depressed prices with the 2015 crop yields.  Currently, selected Kentucky farmers are being surveyed about crop yields for the 2016 crops, and says Dave Knopf with the National Ag Statistics Service, future safety net payments will depend on a strong survey return leading to accurate yield averages.
