All of the investments in ag infrastructure provided through funding from the tobacco settlement are starting to come together to allow for new ventures to move forward successfully. Over the last several years, Jim Mansfield of Four Hills Farm in Mercer County begun producing a new kind of sheep breed in this region. He’s enlisted other farmers to help him supply lamb to major retail outlets and restaurants.
