Market Update - November 6, 2012
Posted on Nov 6, 2012Wheat is at the day’s highs supported by supply concerns. Corn futures are moving in a sideways pattern a few cents above key support @ $7.32.
Cattle futures are trading narrowly mixed on a lack of new fundamentals.
Lean Hog futures have traded both sides of unchanged but are now higher. Fundamentals don’t seem supportive.

Blue Grass Stockyards Cattle Auction Report for 11/05/2012 Receipts: 1,755 Last Monday: 1,419 Year Ago: 2,417
Compared to last week, steer calves under 500 lbs sold steady; over 500 lbs sold 2.00 higher with good demand. Heifer calves sold steady to 1.00 higher; except 300-400 lb featherweight calves 3.00 to 10.00 higher with very good demand. Yearling steers not fully established. Yearling heifers sold steady in a light test. Slaughter cows and slaughter bulls sold about steady with moderate demand.
