CBOT futures closed steady in old-crop corn but lower in wheat, soybeans and meal. Cattle futures closed steady to slightly lower in both live cattle and feeders.  Lean hog futures closed mixed with nearby February LH lower.

CBOT futures closed mixed but generally far below the day’s highs which were established overnight.  Cattle futures closed lower with slight losses in live futures and modest losses in feeder cattle.  Excluding the February LH, lean hog futures closed slightly lower after some contracts scored new contract highs.
