Kentucky Farm Bureau First Vice President Eddie Melton says 2019 has been a great celebration of the 100th anniversary of Kentucky Farm Bureau with culmination to come at the state annual meeting in December.  Melton also thanks legislators for their partnership during a Legislative Appreciation Dinner.

Market Closes - November 11, 2019

CBOT futures closed mostly lower with beans and meal leading the way down.  Cattle futures closed moderately higher, but near the day’s highs. Futures were lifted by last Friday’s stronger cash cattle market.  Lean Hog futures closed mixed with December LH down a sharp 82 cents on weaker cash hog prices.

CBOT futures closed widely mixed as soybeans rallied on favorable reports that suggest the US/China Phase 1 deal is on track. Live cattle futures were up slightly and feeder cattle posted moderate gains in the 2020 contracts. Beyond the 47 cent loss in the December LH, lean hog futures closed variably higher.
