USDA Farm Service Agency Administrator Peggy Brown was in Kentucky in October to meet farmers across the state and learn how the agency is serving their needs.  Brown talks about her first visit to the Bluegrass state, some of the issues the agency is working on and meeting with the Kentucky Agriculture Leadership Program.

The Kentucky Farm Bureau Resolutions Committee begins meeting Wednesday, November 6, to narrow down potential resolutions that will be presented to the Farm Bureau membership during the annual meeting in December.  First Vice President Eddie Melton says the issues range from broadband to taxes, predators and industrial hemp.

Montgomery County farmer Danny Townsend is taking a fifth-generation family business to a new level as he continues to make and sell sweet sorghum.  Townsend talks with host Alan Watts about his farm, what he raises on the farm and the sorghum business that has customers as far away as Japan.

The agricultural hemp industry in Kentucky is continuing to grow after the United States Congress passed the 2018 Farm Bill that was subsequently signed into law by President Donald Trump.   Among the companies processing the hemp is Vertical Wellness in Cadiz, with President and CEO J. Smoke Wallin talking about their first year of operation with host Alan Watts.
