Princeton in Caldwell County is the home of Kentucky’s Black Patch Festival, which is a celebration of the tobacco industry in the commonwealth.  Princeton Optimist Club member Roy Gene Rogers talks about the history of the black patch region and how the Black Patch Festival began in the 1930’s.  

CPC Commodities in Fountain Run will host their annual Agriculture Field Day Thursday, September 5.  We talk with Ivan Pettigo about the history of the field day and preview what farmers and others can learn by taking a day out to participate in the field day.

This year’s 56^th annual Kentucky Farm Bureau Country Ham Breakfast brought in an astounding bid of $1 million for charity. The Grand Champion Country Ham auction is a Kentucky Farm Bureau state fair tradition dating back to 1964.
