Kentucky Farm Bureau took home several organizational awards presented at this year's American Farm Bureau Federation's (AFBF) 99th annual convention. Each year state Farm Bureaus are presented awards in different categories related to several programs and initiatives.

In the first four days of the session, there have been a total of 113 senate and 152 house bills and resolutions filed.

Over 500 KFB members will attend AFBF's 99th Annual Convention and help shape Farm Bureau's national policy agenda for 2018.

The Stephen Foster Story, that is performed at My Old Kentucky Home State Park in Bardstown, will have to find a temporary home.  Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet Communications Director Gary Gupton talks about the closure of the amphitheater at the park in late December, and the local community effort to find a temporary home.

In addition to Pension Reform and the two-year state budget, the Kentucky General Assembly is expected to discuss tax reform and some other major issues during the 2018 session.  Kentucky Farm Bureau Public Affairs Director Jeff Harper talks about how agriculture views tax reform, the road plan and wildlife management.

The National Ag Statistics Service is offering the farmers and agricultural landowners the option of responding online to the Census of Agriculture.  NASS Eastern Mountain Region Director Dave Knopf talks about the advantages to responding online and some of the typical questions included in the Census of Agriculture.
