CBOT futures closed mixed with corn and soybeans up slightly on a recovery from Tuesday’s sharp losses. Market support came from a private crop estimate released yesterday that cut corn yield and production markedly from the USDA forecast.  Cattle futures closed strongly higher and near the day’s highs.  Lean Hog futures closed sharply higher, reversing the losses made Tuesday.

CBOT futures closed sharply lower with soybeans leading the way down. Time sure has passed quickly and I have had the best seat in the house throughout those years to experience amazing exhibits, smell the wonderful food and to visit with the millions of people from across the state, throughout the country, and even from around the world who have come to the fair.

CBOT futures closed lower with corn and soybean futures finishing near the days’ highs.  Today’s price pressure was credited to cooler weather and some forecasted rains.   Cattle futures closed mostly lower with most contracts ending mid-range. Pressure arose from a big jump in weekly slaughter last week and a pound gain in average weights.
