CBOT futures posted sharp losses, closing near the day’s lows. This makes for three straight days of corn and wheat futures closing down. Cattle futures closed lower and near the lows of yesterday’s trading ranges. Lean hog futures closed strongly higher after gapping up on the open.

Except for soybean meal, CBOT futures closed much lower and near the day’s lows. Cattle futures closed strongly higher on strong cash markets for feds and beef. Lean hog futures closed strongly higher and near the day’s highs, rebounding from Tuesday’s losses.

CBOT futures closed mixed, with major contracts going in the opposite direction from yesterday’s market. Live cattle futures closed higher following the lead of sharp gains in feeder cattle futures. Lean hog futures closed lower with large losses in the Dec, Feb, Apr LH contracts.

Corn, wheat and oat futures closed sharply higher today as bullish momentum rolls on. Live cattle futures closed lower after moving higher earlier in the day. Lean hog futures managed only small gains today after the huge rally seen the previous two trading days.
