Except for MGE spring wheat, grain and soy complex futures closed higher, although well below the day’s highs. Live cattle closed slightly higher while feeder futures ended mixed with losses in the front contracts. Lean hog futures closed mixed with the nearby June gaining 80 cents on strong fundamentals and momentum.

The CBOT had a wide-ranging assortment of closing prices as the July contracts came under heavy selling pressure during the day session with most prices settling near the day’s lows.  Cattle futures closed narrowly mixed on a lack of market direction from the cash side. Lean hog futures closed higher on support from the cash hog market and firmer pork cutouts.

CBOT futures closed lower after trading to the plus-side overnight. Live cattle closed mixed while feeder futures finished in the green thanks to the sharp losses in CBOT futures. Lean hog futures closed variably higher on continued strength in the pork cutout.

CBOT futures closed widely mixed with corn and wheat giving up some of yesterday’s huge gains. Cattle futures closed strongly higher led by the nearby contract months. Lean hog futures closed mixed with J/J/A contracts on the negative side.

CBOT futures closed higher to sharply higher following the 3-day weekend. Cattle futures closed mixed with the nearby contracts posting big losses, but well above the early morning lows. Lean hog futures closed slightly higher to strongly higher as June LH made a new contract high.
